2007 Outer Coastal Plain Petit Verdot
The 2007 Outer Coastal Plain Petit Verdot is our third vintage release. It is a wine with great intensity and leather character harvested from our Outer Coastal Plain vineyard on September 28 2007 and fermented to dryness with S. Cerevisiae yeast orginally isolated from a Languedoc terroir. After fermentation, it was transferred to air-dried French Nevers Oak for a period of 18 months. The final assemblage was 80% Petit Verdot, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Cabernet Franc our from our Estate Vineyard. Lovely for contemplating on its own, or with a bold cheese or meat course. Please decant prior to serving.

This wine received a score of 87 at the World Wine Championships..." Best NJ Red Wine - pungent aromas of cinnamon bark, ink, cocoa, and mulberry follow through on a bright entry to a dryish medium body with good depth and mint leaf and strawberry notes. Finishes with densely tannic, savory tomato, cinnamon, and herb accented fade "... Beverage Testing Institute

2008 Outer Coastal Plain Cabernet Sauvignon Oak Reserve
The 2008 Outer Coastal Plain Cabernet Sauvignon was harvested from our vineyard on September 29th and 30th, 2008. It was fermented to dryness over 14 days with a S.cerevisiae originally isolated from a Languedoc terroirs. After fermentation, it was transferred to Air-Dried American Oak casks for a period of 28 months. The final assemblage was 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Petit Verdot and 5% Cabernet Franc all grown in the Outer Coastal Plain. The wine is unfined and unfiltered for maximum flavor intensity. Please decant prior to opening.

Outer Coastal Plain Villard Noir
A wonderful vintage of Villard Noir grown in our Outer Coastal Plain vineyard. Villard Noir is French American hybrid variety with one of its parents being Pinot Noir. The wine is similar to Pinot Noir in character but has more rustic quality in depth and complexity. Cherry is evident from aroma to finish. The Villard Noir pairs especially well with French Provencal style dishes such as Coq au Vin or Ratatouille.

2010 Atlantic County Pinot Noir
Pinot Noir is the red grape of France's Burgundy region, responsible for some of the best and most expensive wines in this area. This soft red wine is great with any elegantly prepared meat or poultry dishes as its subtly allows the dish to shine through. Also very nice with soft cheeses. A favorite for those who enjoy a low-acid, low tannin profile in a wine.

2009 Outer Coastal Plain Sangiovese
The 2009 Outer Coastal Plain Sangiovese was estate grown in our vineyard and was harvested on September 25, 2009. The must was fermented to dryness with a yeast strain isolated from a Languedoc terroir. The resulting wine was aged in 2nd year American oak casks to promote a roundness while preserving the wine’s fruity character.

2009 Outer Coast Plain Syrah
The 2009 Outer Coast Plain Syrah was harvested from our vineyard on September 24, 2009. The grapes were whole berry fermented with stems too dryness with a yeast isolated from the Rhone Valley whose characteristics promote a wine of fresh forward fruit. After completing fermentation, the wine was transferred to air-dried casks for a period of 17 months. The result is a well balanced wine with soft rounded edges. The final assemblage is 100% Syrah.

2010 Outer Coastal Plain Chambourcin
The 2010 vintage was finished in American Oak for 12 months. It is best characterized as a medium-bodied Beaujolais style red with a slightly peppery finish. The best pairings for the Chambourcin’s unique finish are sharper cheeses (esp. blue veined), duck or lamb dishes, Caesar salad and pasta marinara sauce.

The Chambourcin grape thrives in our climate and soil and has been steadily gaining popularity with wine drinkers nationwide. We have been very successful in growing this variety over the years, as evident in the numerous awards given to our Chambourcin; to include the New Jersey Governors Cup and a Silver Medal at the LA County Taster Guild.

2008 Outer Coastal Plain Cabernet Franc
The 2008 Outer Coastal Plain Cabernet Franc was harvested from our vineyard on October 6, 2008. It was fermented to dryness over 14 days with a S.cerevisiae originally isolated from a Languedoc terroirs. After fermentation, it was transferred to Air-Dried Oak casks for a period of 28 months. The final assemblage was 95% Cabernet Franc and 5% Petit Verdot, all grown in the Outer Coastal Plain.

With an unexpected firmness and smoothness despite its medium body, our Cabernet Franc has a lasting finish of green peppercorns and rich espresso. A great wine to savor with cheeses, or pair with game, light cuts of meat, and Mediterranean dishes.

87 Point winner at the World Wine Championships – Beverage Testing Institute describe the wine as: “Dark garnet black color. Dried lavender, thyme honey, wild berry and tomato on the vine aromas. Supple and round with a dryish medium-to-full body. Herb de Provence, crunch apply and dusty mineral notes rise on the crisp, chewy tannin finish.” (tasted on August 16, 2010)

Fruit
We at Tomasello Winery are very serious about the production of our fruit wines. The six fruit wines in our portfolio are fermented in small lots under very cold conditions to maximize fruit character extraction. We select fruit from specific growers whose passion in fruit-growing matches our passion for wine making. You will find these wines to be intense in their fruit character with layers of fruit on the palette and yet balanced in their relative acidity and sweetness. They have remarkable diversity in their use as a wine to drink with specific foods and for use in recipes. We hope that you will find our fruit wines as exciting to drink as we find them to make.
